Application For Appointment Of One (1) Board Member To The Board Of Directors

In accordance with the provisions of the Water Act, 2016, the Companies Act, 2015, the Corporate
Governance Guidelines issued by the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB), 2018, and all other
applicable laws, the Appointing Authority under the Kilifi County Water and Sanitation Services Act, 2015
hereby declares a vacancy in the Board of Malindi Water & Sewerage Company Limited (MAWASCO-WSP).

1.  Be a holder of bachelor’s degree from any recognized University.
2. Must be in good standing with the relevant professional body.
3. Demonstrate at least seven (7) years’ experience and proven acumen in business, profession, or
trade.
4. Demonstrate active participation in local development initiatives.
5. Exhibit experience in change management.
6. Not be a supplier or trading associate of the Company.
7. Be a resident within the area served by the Company.
8. Provide a recommendation from the relevant nominating body representing the stakeholder
category.
9. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 on leadership and
integrity.
