Billing and Payments

You can check your current water bill by logging into the MAWASCO User Portal Dashboard. Once logged in, your current bill will be displayed under the "Current Bill" section. Alternatively, you can visit our office in Malindi or contact us at +254 042 2131037 or +254 777800555 to request your bill details.

MAWASCO accepts payments via M-Pesa, bank transfers, and cash payments at our office. For M-Pesa, use the Paybill number provided on your bill or on our website. You can also pay at designated banks; please check our website for a list of partner banks. Ensure you include your account number when making payments to avoid delays.

You can also visit our office in Malindi with your bill to report the issue. We’ll investigate and resolve the discrepancy as soon as possible.

Currently, MAWASCO does not support automatic payments. However, you can pay your bill conveniently through M-Pesa or bank transfers. We recommend setting a reminder to pay your bill on time to avoid disconnection. Stay tuned for updates on new payment features in the future.
New Connection

To apply for a new water connection, visit our office in Malindi with your ID, proof of property ownership, and a completed application form (available on our website or at our office). Alternatively, you can request a callback through our website, and our team will guide you through the process. A site visit may be required to assess feasibility.

The time to process a new connection depends on the location and infrastructure availability. Typically, it takes 2-4 weeks after your application is approved and payment is made. The cost of a new connection varies based on the distance from the main pipeline and the type of connection (domestic, commercial, or institutional). A standard domestic connection typically costs between Ksh. 5,000 and Ksh. 10,000, including the meter fee. Contact our office for a detailed quotation after the site assessment.

You’ll need to provide a copy of your national ID, proof of property ownership (title deed or lease agreement), a completed application form, and a sketch map of your property location. User Portal

To access the MAWASCO User Portal, visit our website at https://malindiwater.co.ke and click on the "User Portal" link. You’ll need to log in using your account number and a password. If you’re a new user, you can register by providing your account details and setting up a password.

The User Portal allows you to check your water usage, view your current bill, track active service requests, and monitor your account balance. You can also submit inquiries, report issues like leaks, and request a new connection directly through the portal.

If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link on the User Portal login page. Enter your account number and registered email address to receive a password reset link. If you encounter issues, contact our support team at +254 042 2131037 or [email protected].

To update your account details, log into the User Portal and navigate to the "Profile" or "Account Settings" section. You can update your contact information, such as your phone number or email address. For changes to your account number or billing address, please visit our office with the necessary documentation.
Water Supply and Services

Low water pressure can be due to various factors, such as network issues or maintenance. First, check if your neighbors are also affected. If so, report the issue to MAWASCO by calling +254 042 2131037 or +254 777800555, or submit a service request through the User Portal. Our team will investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

To report a water leak, you can use the User Portal to submit a service request under "Report a Leak," or call our emergency line at +254 042 2131037 or +254 777800555. Provide the exact location and any relevant details to help our team respond quickly. You can also email us at [email protected].

To request a water tanker, contact our office directly at +254 042 2131037 or +254 777800555, or visit our office in Malindi. Provide your location, the required volume (e.g., 1,000 to 30,000 liters), and your preferred delivery time. Tanker services are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and charges apply based on the volume and distance.

MAWASCO ensures water quality through regular testing and treatment at our facilities. We comply with national standards set by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB). Our water is treated to remove impurities and is safe for consumption. Sewerage Services

Provide the exact location and any observations (e.g., overflow, odor). Our team will dispatch a crew to address the issue and ensure proper sanitation.

Yes, MAWASCO provides sewer connection services in areas with existing sewer infrastructure. To apply, visit our office with your ID, proof of property ownership, and a completed application form. A site visit will be conducted to assess feasibility, and costs will depend on the distance to the main sewer line.

MAWASCO collects sewerage through our network and treats it at designated treatment plants to ensure safe disposal. We follow environmental regulations to protect public health and the environment. Treated effluent is either reused for non-potable purposes or safely discharged, adhering to standards set by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).

MAWASCO’s sewerage services cover parts of Malindi town where sewer infrastructure exists, with a current coverage of 27% as of 2019. We are working to expand our sewer network to more areas in Malindi, Magarini, and Kilifi North sub-counties. Contact our office to check if your area is covered or to request an extension.
